Kantha is a centuries-old tradition of stitching patchwork textiles using a simple, strong running stitch in myriad patterns and combinations. Traditional kantha uses thread from old textiles to embroider and patchwork the very same textiles into lightweight quilts and covers. It is an incredibly beautiful and purposeful craft that encourages innovative repurposing and creative expression through hand-stitching.

This workshop invites you to learn the beautiful art of Kantha quilting, guided by artisans and Kantha experts visiting us from West Bengal via the Sasha organisation.

The workshop is for ages 18+. All levels of craft experience are welcome.
